Bathroom renovations among top DIY projects
Installing a new bathroom suite is set to be high on the agenda for many British homeowners this weekend.

Research by HSBC revealed two-fifths of people have been planning to carry out some home improvement work over the bank holidays, with bathrooms featuring in the list of top projects.
And it seems adding value could be one of the main objectives for those with such plans as a survey of property valuation experts found a new bathroom represents an average increase of £3,351.
However, HSBC head of mortgages Stuart Beattie noted there is no guarantee of a rise and he advised householders to make "creating a home they can live in" their biggest priority.
"The bank holiday weekends are a great opportunity for homeowners to make improvements to their properties," he added.
Anne-Marie DeSouza, editor at Build It, recently observed people are carrying out work in order to future-proof their homes – with energy-efficiency becoming an important consideration.
