Tenants, ‘use statement furniture to jazz up a bathroom’
Living in a rented property does not mean that creativity and personal style have to go out of the window and one expert has suggested ways to liven up a home's interiors without upsetting the landlord.
In the Independent, interior designer Annabelle Holland has recommended some ways consumers can add their own artistic touch to their abode and some of her hints and tips – such as buying statement furniture and accessories – can be applied to the bathroom.
When it comes to repainting a room, Ms Holland recommended asking landlords before resigning to the notion that no will always be the answer, because many property owners are happy to relinquish responsibility of redecorating a room provided it is in a neutral style.
And for finding the perfect bathroom mirror that is in keeping with modern trends, the expert suggested going for Brissi, Sweetpea and Willow designs.
Landlords, however, may be persuaded to let tenants add some modern touches to their water closets as a bright and freshly-decorated room could offer a good return on properties should they go back on the market, according to Angie's List speaking to kjrh.com.
