Couple ‘find Virgin Mary in bathroom tiles’
Many people remodel their bathroom suites in order to give their property a unique touch, and one couple from the US certainly felt they’d achieved that while they were grouting new bathroom tiles in their shower.
Carol and Gary Burrell, of Okalahoma, discovered an image of the Virgin Mary in the new tiles Mr Burrell, a professional interior designer, added to the room, NewsOK reports.
The couple used three-inch stone tiles of varying shades and textures to give their bathroom a fresh look and Mr Burrell only spotted the outline of the religious icon after he had finished the job.
Ms Burrell was quoted by the news source as saying that she was sceptical when her husband told her about his discovery, but admitted the image in the stone “stood right out” once he had convinced her to take a closer look.
Those who are searching for a quick and easy way to brighten up their current bathroom tiles without undertaking an extensive remodelling job might want to consider adding stencil motifs or painted designs, a writer for HGTV’s Design Happens blog recently suggested.
