They are something of an aspirational feature for the bathroom but a freestanding bath could be something you cannot wait to invest in to make your humble smallest room into a palace of pampering and luxury.

According to Pete Mills of Aquaplus, these vessels are the most fashionable tubs around – especially this year as they have taken the world of interior design by storm.

He admitted, however, that they were only suitable for bathroom suites that are spacious enough to accommodate them – and there is also the matter of budget.

“Modern styles will grab the attention of the design-savvy and white will continue to dominate the colour charts, with black being specified for truly special, statement projects,” Mr Mills remarked.

If you do have the ways and means of getting your hands on one of these fabulous baths for the washroom then you are in good company.

Country singing sensation Taylor Swift appears to be a fan of them too, with images of her standalone tub featuring on the internet, as the star is trying to sell her Nashville mansion.
