When redoing the bathroom suite ‘get designer home inspiration’
Instead of seething with envy when flipping through lifestyle magazines featuring spread after spread of lavish home interiors, why not take some inspiration from them?
This could be especially useful if you’re planning to revamp your bathroom, as these functional spaces can sometimes be difficult to transform because they are seen merely as a room for carrying out the day’s routine.
Speaking to the Los Alton Town Crier, TV home design consultant Lisa LaPorta said: “Designer homes should be sources of inspiration and motivation. Keep abreast of the design trends, but don’t forget to include your own personality.”
She reminded keen DIY fans such as yourselves that it is not just down to what goes on the walls and what colour theme to pick, accessorising is just as important when conveying a little piece of yourself in your home.
And if you are an extrovert, you could put a bit of your personality through by choosing contrasting bathroom furniture and paints, because according to Neil Partridge, design director of NGI Design in Stamford, Lincolnshire, this is very much in vogue at the moment.
