Will you be “ecovating” your bathroom suite?
Going green has been a long-running trend when it comes to home improvements – so perhaps you should apply a little updated efficiency to the bathroom?
According to editor at Homebuilding & Renovating Jason Orme, “ecovating” is about investing in upgrades that can boost a property’s sustainability and environmental-friendliness.
In the washroom, this could include an energy-efficient shower or a water-saving mechanism for the toilet flush – or perhaps patching up any draughts around the window pane.
Mr Orme claimed that the rising cost of energy has had a great deal to do with this fashion for being green at home, as this way, householders can reduce how much power and heat they waste to rake a few precious pennies back.
Last month, web marketing director for UK Energy Saving Haley Jones claimed double glazing could make a rural home more efficient – so why not invest in this for your bathroom?
