Could bold, unexpected colour transform the bathroom suite?
Quirky and fearless colour themes could make an ordinary room such as the bathroom quite extraordinary, one style expert claims.
According to the Detroit Free Press, one of HGTV’s famous interiors experts Cortney Novogratz says that bright and vibrant hues in unexpected places such as in dark corners and alcoves can be a great use of colour.
Founder of DecorDemon.com and HGTV blogger Patrick Flynn agrees and reccomends people shun traditional shade pairings such as red and green, black and white and so on, in favour of wacky colour trios like chocolate, celery green and pale blue.
And if DIY fans think making their mark in this way with paint is a bit daunting, Ms Novogratz suggests the use of vibrant art prints and bold frames – decoration that can work in any room.
Neil Partridge, design director of NGI Design in Stamford, Lincolnshire, is another fan of this colour contrasting theme and suggests balancing these tones with bright, white porcelain bathroom suites.
