Celebrations are once again in full swing, with the Better Bathrooms team taking home two premier achievements at last Friday’s Warrington Business Awards, in which we were presented the coveted titles of Retailer of the Year and Business of the Year 2012.

We were astounded the receive the one award, never mind both; having to beat off such tough competition with our fellow finalists including the likes of specialist recruitment consultancy Integra People and Local Bus Operator Network Warrington.

These annual awards hosted by the Warrington Guardian Newspaper saw a wealth of leading businesses within the Warrington Borough come together in hopes of receiving one of the eleven fantastic awards. Snapping us these two major titles saw better Bathrooms take centre stage as the big winner during the night, with Retailer of the Year and Business of the Year two of the most highly sought after awards.

The nights host, the infamous Geoff Hurst, revealed how the judges were blown away by our driven nature and impressive 11 year journey, more specifically with our achievements over this past year. Our determination in placing customer satisfaction at the heart of our daily operations proved a key winning factor, with this contributing to a wealth of successful developments throughout the company over the past 12 months.

Another fundamental contributor helping seal our double win boiled down to our position as a top class local employer; with a showroom, our head offices, trade counter and warehouse each based within the Warrington Borough. Our solid staff engagement also went well noticed, with our passion as a family run business meaning we ensure our team of 120 driven individuals remain involved in all the inner workings of the Better Bathrooms business through various social events, charity days, reward schemes and internal newsletters; many of which you will have witnessed from previous blog posts!

Amidst off the jubilation, cheers and celebratory champers we caught up with BB Founder Colin Stevens in which he revealed; “We’re shocked to have scooped up both these flagship awards, especially with the quality of finalists in each category. Better Bathrooms has undergone unprecedented growth and achievements over the past year and it’s superb that others recognise our hard work and attention to detail within such a competitive industry. The entire team are so proud of our achievements to date, and our constant ambition generates the motivation to reach greater accomplishments.”

We couldn’t agree with more with this! It’s fantastic that the judges have distinguished the Better Bathrooms’ journey from humble beginnings to being firmly established at the UK’s largest independent retailer of bathrooms and tiles as one that deserves recognition.

The entire company has undergone huge growth over this past year, with each department witnessing progression and developments to help drive Better Bathrooms forward. Despite now servicing the entire of the UK with ease, we will always have our roots firmly planted in Warrington, with this double award win now helping position Better Bathrooms in its rightful place as a major influence within the Warrington Borough.

With bigger and better plans in place for 2012, the only way is up, so bring on the 2013 awards!
