When packing to go on a well-deserved break overseas, it can be tricky packing light but one savvy beauty writer has claimed consumers do not have to take the entire contents of their bathroom cabinets to look great on holiday.
Guardian style writer Sali Hughes acknowledged that a minimal approach can be tricky especially where children are involved so blitzing mums cosmetics supply is the best approach to take.
She suggested ditching the make-up remover and opting for a creamy cleanser that will wipe off foundation and mascara as well as moisturise.
Ms Hughes added that an enormous sunblock was essential and can replace day cream, while make-up should be kept simple with a cream concealer, cheek colour, mascara and some extras for an evening look such as lipstick.
And men face the same issues when it comes to ensuring they pack all their bathroom essentials.
Last week, Tom Fontaine, writing for MSN New Zealand Mens Style said pain killers, aftershave balm, nail clippers, dental floss and sun protection moisturiser were all washbag essentials.
