Bidets are not as common a bathroom fixture in the UK as in Europe, where they are ubiquitous. Their absence in British bathrooms is perhaps down to our small average bathroom size – there simply isn’t room a bidet as a standard item in many bathrooms. Or maybe it’s because we view them with suspicion: toilet paper has long done the job on its own, so why buy an additional bathroom fixture?
Well, advocates of the bidet claim its advantage over simple toilet paper use in three main areas: it can deliver greater cleanliness and a ‘fresh feeling’; a warm wash with a bidet can help relieve the discomfort of haemorrhoids; a bidet can help to give an elderly person or someone with reduced mobility the chance to regain their independence and dignity in the bathroom.
In terms of style, a bidet can offer a degree of symmetry in your bathroom design, when placed next to the toilet.
Our range of bidets includes both traditional and contemporary styles, designed to suit most bathrooms; we also offer wall-hung as well as floor standing designs. Many of our ranges of bathroom taps offer a bidet tap, so that you have the option to perfectly coordinate the brassware of your bidet with the rest of your bathroom sanitaryware.
