Thinking about installing underfloor heating? Then take a peek at Warmup's innovative heating systems to find a cheaper, more sustainable way of warming your bathroom. Let's get started.
Why choose Warmup?
As the world's best-selling underfloor heating brand, Warmup's high-quality designs are easy to install and come with a market-leading warranty. In fact, they've been fitted in 2.5+ million homes worldwide.
What are the main benefits of adding underfloor heating to your bathroom?
Save money
Warmup's underfloor heating systems can warm a room with an average temperature of 29°C. Whereas traditional radiators need a higher temperature between 65-75°C.
Environmentally friendly
Did you know underfloor heating is 40% more efficient than a conventional heating system? It uses radiant heat technology to warm a room quickly and delivers the same heat as a traditional radiator at a lower temperature.
Even heat distribution
With underfloor heating, warmth is instantly and evenly distributed around a room. In contrast, radiators take significantly longer to heat a room because they warm the air from one wall.
Hidden design
Because underfloor heating is installed below your flooring, you can enjoy your dream bathroom without compromising on style. In addition, Warmup systems are compatible with all floor types and are particularly loved for warming cold tiles.
Will Warmup give me the spa experience at home?
There are two types of underfloor heating. The first type incorporates a heated mat or cable controlled by a thermostat. When activated, it warms the floor's surface with radiant heat, which rises and warms the rest of the room.
The other type uses hydronic floor pipes. These pipes pump hot water below the floor to gently heat the room.
Top tip: Warmup's electrical systems are ideal for bathroom renovation projects because the low-profile design doesn't alter the floor's height.
What are Warmup's smart thermostats?
A smart thermostat can improve the efficiency of your heating system and reduce your annual heating bill by more than £400. They're easy to use, incorporate advanced technologies, and allow you to change your home's temperature from your smartphone. Take a quick look at Warmup’s different models.
What will my electrician need for the installation?
- Warmup insulation boards
- 30mA residual current device (RCD) for the installation
- Digital multimeter for testing the resistance of the mat and floor sensor
- Electrical housing back boxes and junction boxes (please note, the back box for the thermostat must be at least 35mm deep in the wall)
- Electrical trunking/conduit for housing power leads
- Duct tape (to secure the floor sensor and loose wires)
- Scissors for cutting the fibreglass mesh
- Gloves
How much does underfloor heating cost?
When it comes to installation, electric systems are quick to install, and hydronic systems incur higher costs due to the time and labour needed to fit them. However, both methods have low, long-term running costs and can heat a single room from as little as £7-£15 per month.
For a rough idea of prices, the underfloor heating cost for each system is as follows:
