All about me

Traditional in design, the Athena Freestanding Bath offers the perfect place to relax, unwind and soak your cares away. The epitome of bathroom style, this bath makes a beautiful centrepiece for your bathroom. It is double-ended, which means the taps should be installed at the centre, where the waste is also located. That makes it ideal so you can spread out and reach the taps with ease. It’s also perfect for sharing!

This traditional, square design is crafted from high quality sanitary grade acrylic, giving it an ultra-smooth and high-gloss finish. Chunky chrome feet lift the Athena away from the floor for even easier access. These can even be adjusted during installation if you have an uneven floor. Perfect for drilling for taps, you can choose the perfect set to match your style.

Please note you will need to purchase our traditional chrome exposed waste and standpipes set if you are purchasing a traditional shower bath mixer tap. You will find this set in our recommended accessories section. Alternatively you can choose a wall mounted tap.

Question from brian whitnell: Asked on 04/12/2017 I've been told that produce code 6296 should be fitted as the waste outlet. How can this be hidden / disguised?

Answer from chris Hi,

Unfortunately you cant hide this waste.

Question from Esosa: Asked on 05/05/2017 Can this be used without the legs, placed on the ground ?

This wouldn't be advisable as it would invalidate the warranty on the product.

Question from Lucy moody: Asked on 09/07/2016 Do you do this in. 1500 I'm broke and can't fit In a 1700
If you have any freestanding 1500 baths that are as cheap I don't mind X stock or slight seconds
Can you ring me if you have
Or preferably send me a link to them

Answer from Simon Hi,

I am afraid this particular bath does not come in 1500mm, the only freestanding baths that we do in this size are:

http://www.betterbathrooms.com/baths/roll-top-baths/design-1520-slipper-bath - This is 1520mm
http://www.betterbathrooms.com/baths/roll-top-baths/torrelino-1520x750mm-single-slipper-freestanding-bath/ - This is 1520mm
http://www.betterbathrooms.com/baths/roll-top-baths/bari-1500-freestanding-bath

These are the only ones we do in this size I am afraid.

Regards

Simon

Question from Frances Shaw: Asked on 06/05/2016 Does this bath come in 1500 /1550

Answer from Nathan McGregor Hello.

Thank you for your question.

I am afraid this bath only comes in two lengths 1700 and 1600.

If you have any questions please call me on 0161 667 6560.

Regards.

Question from Corinna: Asked on 08/03/2016 Hi, what is the height of the bath including the feet?

Answer from Simon Hi,

The height of this bath including the feet is 565mm

Question from Josh : Asked on 22/02/2016 Hi there

Are the feet fixed already fixed to the bath or does the installer fit them on installation

Answer from Anthony Hi there,

Thank you for your question.

Your installer will fit the feet as they are not pre-installed when delivered.

Kind Regards

Question from Angie: Asked on 02/03/2015 Are the feet removable (tight access to bathroom)

Answer from Jamie Hi,

Thank you for your question yes you can remove the feet if you have any further questions please feel free to give us a call on 0161 667 6560.

Question from Frank Hogan: Asked on 03/11/2014 To fit taps, can we just drill holes anywhere on the rim or is any special fitting required?

Answer from Anthony Hi there,

Thank you for your question.

The bath is supplied un-drilled for tap holes so your installer will drill these for you. Above the waste and overflow is the usual place on this bath to place taps.

Kind Regards

Question from f hayes: Asked on 24/06/2014 What is the approved way of drilling the tap holes - drill bit size, drill bit type, protecting the bath surface etc..

Answer from John Smith Hi There,

Thanks for your question. The easiest way is to take your tap. measure the distance of the outlets, apply a piece of masking tape to the bath and mark out with your pencil where you are drilling then drill your holes using a slow speed drill and it should take you roughly a minute per hole.

Question from mike : Asked on 30/03/2014 can you fit a 7636 screen to a 5632 bath thank you

Answer from Peter Hi there,

We would not advise installing a bath screen on to this bath.

Kind Regards

Question from derek parsons: Asked on 26/03/2014 Will you deliver to La Maison Shopping Services, SS11 7QL. for their forwarding on
to us in France?

Answer from Peter Hi,

Yes we deliver to this address, the delivery charge will be £35.95.

Question from Johann: Asked on 20/03/2014 Love the look of the freestanding bath, however we only have space to "build it in" between 2 walls. Our current space with tiles is 1655, but I believe we should be able to fit it in after the tiles have been removed and we chisel out a small amount of the wall. As the bath is going to be touching 3 walls and we will tile down onto it my only concern are the rounded corners, as we cannot have gaps either end, so how big is the lip? And how much of the lip on either side would we need to cover (either by wall or tiles) to not see the rounded corners and have a straight edge? Also is it solid under the lip or does it curve back up? Thanks!

Answer from Peter Hi there,

You would need to cover at least 25mm of the lip of the corners of the bath on each side to ensure this area is sealed and no water can escape.

The lip is solid underneath and does not curve back up.

Kind Regards

Question from Monica: Asked on 07/01/2014 What is the external depth of the bath without the feet, please? I ask because of extra-narrow access to bathroom from all directions!

Answer from Nathan McGregor Hello and thank you or your question.

It is approx 520mm without the leg-set.

Regards.

Question from Kim: Asked on 18/10/2013

As this freestanding bath has 4 straight sides, please can you tell me if it can also be fitted against two walls as I need to have the shower above a bath and I prefer the look of a freestanding bath. Also, can the taps be sited on the short end, as well as the longer side? Many thanks. Kim.

Answer from Mike B

Taps on this bath can be fitted on any part of the bath, as they are all equal width. The bath would be suitable to put against a wall and include a shower, however, the corners of this bath are curved, so it may cause a slight issue for water leaking underneath the bath. Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our team on 0844 484 7678

Question from Mrs Dianne Mcadam: Asked on 06/03/2012 Which waste goes with this bath,

Answer from Warren Kinloch Hi there,

Product code 8290, the pop-up bath waste for twin skinned baths is the correct waste for this bath.

Question from Andy Cole: Asked on 19/02/2012 Could you tell me the internal measurement of the bath at the bottom (ie inside the bath)

Answer from Kirk Thompson The internal base measurements is approx 1010mm x 440mm for these baths.

Question from alan marshall: Asked on 16/02/2012 Hi, in process of fitting, is there a recommended way to secure bath to floor, the previous bath had plates screwed to floor then bath feet allen keyed to them.

Answer from Mike B Hi there,

There isn't a specific way we would suggest to fit this bath. It would be advisable to contact a professional installer, and ask their advice.

Question from lee: Asked on 23/01/2012 can you telll me the overall width of the bath please.
Lee

Answer from Mike B Hi there,

The width of this bath is 750mm.
