Individuals wanting to keep abreast of the hottest bathroom trends this year may wish to revert back to bathroom furniture.

This is because Grahame Morrison of kbb News has claimed sharp minimal designs which have been favoured of late are starting to decline in popularity, with softer products coming to the fore.

The expert noted bathroom furniture is therefore enjoying something of a revival, with dark woods getting plenty of attention.

He explained: "White still dominates ceramics, but there has been a slight increase in signature black pieces, sometimes used with bright brass taps."

More high-tech items may also be making their way into powder rooms in the near future as well, Mr Morrison observed, adding showers and faucets could feature temperature and flow controls.

Natalie Perry, an interior designer for NoChintz, recently claimed consumers are beginning to favour technology in their bathroom suites as they seek to improve energy efficiency.
