Kate is extremely efficient in responding to our customers, keeping them updated at all times whilst also ensuring that all relevant parties are updated. she also devised a form which would give a quick overview of the complaint, actions, resolution and root cause.

During the Christmas and New Year period Kate stepped in to assist Ashley with the newly launched ‘CEO Promise’. whilst doing this, Kate continued her normal duties of managing her team and assisting in the management of the department. All team members achieved their targets during this time.

Kate deals with all complaints efficiently and in a professional manner, this has been recognised by both the customer and other departments.

Each month, senior team managers for each department put forward an individual who they believe have surpassed their targets, whilst displaying dedication, teamwork and drive.

Rewarding deserved individuals boosts employee motivation across the company and enthusiasm, both key characteristics contributing to Better Bathrooms’ huge success. There is already a buzz within the company about who will be nominated in January. Everyone who wins Employee of the Month over the year could potentially win Employee of the Year at the Christmas Award Ceremony.

Colin added, “Everyone who works here is part of the Better Bathrooms family. The Employee of the Month award is one of the ways we like to recognise our staff who are not just hard working but have gone the extra mile. I think it is very important to encourage staff members to think outside the box and a £500 bonus is a fantastic reward.”

Better Bathrooms continuously invests in their employees, offering training courses, organising social events and creating a positive working environment. Recently the two main canteens have been redesigned to look like a beaches, inspirational quotes are printed on the walls and artificial grass fitted to create an open feel. In addition, Better Bathrooms has recently started an Apprenticeship programme in where full time jobs will be available at the end of the scheme.
